Enable Sana Pay for Sales Orders Placed via ERP

Currently, Sana Pay serves as a payment service provider within Sana Commerce Cloud, allowing customers to pay seamlessly and even save their credit card details in their digital wallets.
We would like the ability to use Sana Pay and existing saved payment details to process payments for orders that are placed directly through our sales team in the ERP—whether via email, phone, or fax. This would streamline payment collection for manually processed orders and provide a consistent and convenient payment experience for both customers and sales teams.

Automatic Authorization Release for Canceled Orders in Sana Pay Plus

Currently, Sana Pay Plus does not automatically release payment authorizations when an order is fully or partially canceled. As a result, funds remain reserved on the buyer’s credit card for up to 28 days, leading to customer frustration and a poor user experience.
Sana Pay Plus should automatically release the authorization when an order is canceled—whether fully or partially—ensuring that customers regain access to their reserved funds immediately.

Show discount in cart and during checkout

Show the customer discount per orderline, in shopping cart and during checkout, to enhance the feeling of cheaper products, and give them a good geeling that the discount htey get is applied correctly. In the current situation the discount you get is only shown on the product and product detailpage.

Payment Cost as percentage of total order amount

Currently payment cost can only be set at a fixed amount. Credit Card/Paypal costs are a percentage of the order amount so it is vital to have the ability to set the cost as a percentage instead of a fixed amount.
I would like to be able to add % fee to orders that use a specific payment method. For example, I want to assign a 3.5% fee to all credit card orders. At present I can assign a cost to a payment method but not a % fee.
As a webshop manager, I would like to charge the user a percentage of the total order for a given payment method.
As a webstore administrator, I need the ability to charge the customer for the credit card fees. This could be done by having the ability to add a payment cost as a percentage of the total to certain payment methods. This is especially important for B2B transactions where the margins are much smaller.

Enter discount code in basket & checkout area

There should be the possibility to enter the disocunt codes as well in the basket as in the checkout area (before sending the orders). Most of our customers directly switch to the checkout area.

Shipping costs calculate based after discounts

Shipping costs calculated based after discounts. gross/net prices. Our customer normally pay shipping costs under 150 gross price. The shipment now only handles shipping costs based after applying the discount and then calculates if the costs are under or above 150. SO they are getting punishedfor getting discount. example: article x costs €200 gros. in this case customer doesn't pay shipping costs. After applying discount online article x costs €148 now customer also must pay shipping costs. This is a user case we don't want.

Promotions on cart Values

We would like to run promotions on total cart value.e.g. This product free when you order $200 of total items or 10% off your first purchase of $100 or more.

Free shipping cost - progress bar

As a marketing manager trying to prompt customers to buy more on SANA, I would like a progress bar showing customers how much more they need to order to get free shipping. Our free shipping is for orders over €100.

Configuration option for "add to adress book" checkbox (default enabled Y/N)

The checkbox "add to adress book" is now not checked in the defauld settings. We need this checkbox to be checked, because we want to register al the possible delivery adresses in our ERP. The customer will not check this box himself while entering an order in the webshop.

Sorting of products in the shopping cart

Customers work with a specific flow. When adding products to the basket they want the basket in the same order as they entered the products. The first article they ad to the basked needs to be in the first position and the last product in the last position.

Service charge lines shown as part of item subtotal

In basket and checkout, we don't have a field to show the service charges separately. So what we have for now done is to simply add it to the item subtotal (but we used to show it as subtotal in previous versions). Now we have changed it to "Item" and show the full subtotal there it is pretty confusing and IMO wrong. Suggestion: show service charges as a separate field on basket / checkout (e.g.: additional charges).

Editable Product List Page in the shopping cart

Additional information (e.g. description 2) not only on the product list or in the product detail, but also for the products that are in the shopping cart (see highlighted area in the screenshot)?

Show shipping method only for specfic product sets

Instead of hiding shipping methods, add the option voor showing only for specfic product sets. We have specific products we can't sell online because we can't add the correct costs for shipping

P.O. Box Exclusion

We use UPS to deliver our packages. We can't accept P.O. Boxes as a shipping address. It would be nice for the system to not allow the ability to ship to P.O. Boxes. We use messaging to aid the customer to not use this delivery address but they miss the messaging.

Option for customer to use their UPS or FedEx account number

At checkout, let the customer have the choice to select 3rd party/freight collect and enter their UPS or FedEx account number to have the shipment billed directly to their account. It would be a good idea to have it be able to tie to a customer segment so that we can manage customers that will be approved prior to the order. That way it will be less likely that a scammer will put in a fake number to get free shipping.

Inform customers of preorder quantity at checkout

When the 'available for preorder' function is enabled on the product in the ERP and 'availability depends on stock' is enabled in Sana, customers are allowed to purchase items on preorder. However, when a customer orders an item that is in stock, but low in stock, the preorder function allows the customer to purchase both items that are in stock and on preorder. The problem with that is that customers have no knowledge of the amount of the product that is in stock vs preorder.
For example, a customer orders 125 units of a product that has 25 in stock. This would mean that they have ordered 25 units of in stock product and 100 items that are on preorder.
It would be best for the customer to receive this information in the checkout so that they are aware that some of the items might delay the order. One option would be to display the information at checkout like '25 items available / 100 items on preorder.' It would be even better if the customer was given an additional option to separate the order with preordered items. This would mean that customer could proceed with the order with in stock items and the preordered items would be put on a separate order.

Flexible product attribute selection in shopping cart

As a buyer I would like to be able to customize product attributes directly in your shopping cart. This would give me the flexibility to select special conditions for each item in my order. For example, choose a product as a sample or for specific marketing purposes, and see the price adjust instantly – even dropping to as little as $0 or $0.01 based on my selection.
This feature is especially useful for segmented customers such as Sales Agents.
The chosen attributes and price adjustments are saved with the basket items, ensuring accurate and updated totals with each change. These adjustments trigger a new basket calculation by the ERP.
Benefits: This feature allows the buyer to customize the order to meet their specific needs, whether for sampling or marketing, directly in the cart. It enhances the flexibility and personalization of the shopping experience, ensuring that they only pay for what they need and potentially save money with special conditions.

Adding a line reference to a specific line order

Hi, we would like our customers to have the option of adding a reference to a line as they order on the site. e.g If they order a specific item for a specific customer they could add the customer name to the line.

Add multiple products sets for the function shipping methods

We encountered that you only can add only ONE product set under setup --> ordering --> shipping --> shipping methods --> edit one shipping method --> Hide shipping method for product set
I would like to add more product sets into the field. Currently you can only add 1, but for our case we need add to more then 15 product sets. We are a chemical company and there are a few products which have to be sent with a special shipping method here in Germany (Gefahrstoff 6.1).
Allowing to put more then one product set into the field will allow us to display customers only ONE shipping method for the products classified with Gefahrstoff 6.1. Currently I am not able to achieve this because the customer sees for non Gefahrstoff 6.1 items 2 shipping methods.

"Quote only" items - add to basket and submit quote

It would be great to have the possibility to mark certain items as "quotable only". These items, you could add to basket, with the option to only submit quote/inquiry, where the checkout option is disabled.

In a B2B setting, we must often get prices or information on delivery time from our suppliers for unstocked or non-standard items before allowing the customer to place the order. Allowing customer to add these products to basket and submit quote, which generates the quote in ERP, would allow for a much smoother business handling for these cases. After we have processed the quote in the ERP, the quote is marked as "promotable", allowing the customer to convert the quote to an order, as per standard Sana functionality.

Currently, it's only possible to mark products as non-orderable (disabling any add to cart functionality), and use the "request product information" addon, which only works on a product-by-product basis, which means the customer must send in multiple forms when they are shopping for more than one product.

Hide Shipping Method for Product Set

Working with the Shipping Tab in the Ordering Tab, I noticed you cannot hide a shipping method for more than 1 product set. That is something Sana should address in a future update. There are situations where different product sets contain different items, but would both be excluded from certain shipping methods. Thanks!

Support of specialchars in checkout email field

It seems like special chars are not supported in the checkout on the email field.
E.g. the characters æøå or + gets converted to punycode in the backend upon order creation.
This is not sufficient hence the customers email is wrongly saved to the database.

More granular control of B2B customers adding or editing shipping addresses

I want to be able have finer-grain control over which of my B2B customers can add/edit shipping addresses. This could either be via a customer segment in Sana admin, or a field in the ERP.

Customer segmentation in Checkout header fields

Customer segmentation in checkout header fields is important when configuring fields that need to be shown only to a specific customer/area that the customer is from or based on the shipping type (checkout/pickup) selected or shipment method selected.

Add additional information on basket lines

As a webshop manager I like to display additional product information from a specific field on the basket line, so I can inform my customers better. For instance:
Is it possible for description 2 from Navsion Business Central to be displayed in the basket (SystemPage in SANA) under description 1?
Description 2 is a standard Navision Business Central field and available in all installations of the ERP.
We need this field because it contains additional information about the item weight. This information is missing in the shopping cart.

Set the assortment of products based on shipping method selected

At the moment, shipping methods can be restricted to a certain product set. However, more control is required by our b2b sellers. For instance it would be beneficial to have the ability to:

At the moment, shipping methods can be restricted to a certain product set. However, having more control would be ideal:

Order Details in Order Confirmation Page

We would like a way to display the details of a customer's order on the order confirmation page so that the customer can see it, and so that google can gather this information for analytics.

Reordering should keep the same sorting

Reordering should keep the same sorting as the reorder source. When customers use the reordering function, the items are not added to the basket in the same order as the source from which it was reordered.

This might confuse the customer as the basket don't look the same, or the original order was logically sorted by the customer.

Upload shopping cart extend with xls or even OCR

Since SANA builds on NAV which is a Microsoft platform it should be able to use Excel files.
Those are commonly used and much easier to explain to customer than csv files.

It makes it more readable and also gives us the opportunity to create an excel file for our customers to use.

So please add functionality to upload a Excel file as shopping cart!

Bonuspoints: many customers have there own ERP system generating PDF files. It would be very very convenient for them to just upload a PDF file
It also makes it much easier to convince them to use the Sana platform and also easier to agree on compared to Instapunchout. This takes more time and needs other decisionmakers outside the supply team of our customer.

Buy now, pay later / paying in installments (e.g. Iwoca Pay)

In order to easier sell the more expensive products to customers, offering a BNPL solution would increase the online revenue and lower the threshold for businesses to place orders. Iwoca Pay could be a solution for (UK) customers, who are increasing market share, helping to drive web transactions.

Requested delivery date - allow to configure a different lead time for each day enabled for delivery

Add capability to set a different lead time for each individual day of the week enabled as a "delivery day" in Sana Admin. The lead time committed to customers can change for weekend deliveries or Monday deliveries (as well as holidays), were the order processing, planning, and shipment might need more days than for a regular weekday.

Discount Builder 2.0 (TERMS benefit)

Ability to create discounts that will change terms for that order. For example : Spend $10,000 and get 120 day terms instead of your normal 30 day terms.

emailadress orderconfirmation

We have customer ID ....-02 which uses our webshop. This customer ID is directly related to ....-01
Orderconfirmation is not only send to emailadress which is username, but is also send to emailadress which is there in our ERP.
Customer doesn't like this because ID ....-01 is only for invoices, so is mailadress invoice@....com
For Sana it is out-of-standard behavior to send orderconfirmation only to emailadress which is username for log-in in webshop.
Just send orderconfirmation to only one emailadress in stead of two because of second emailadress from redirection to another customer ID should be a solution.

More flexibility in setting up shipment costs

At this moment, you can choose between 'country+weight' OR 'country+order total' OR 'fixed per country' for the shipping methods. If you hide a specific method for a product set (for example, we apply extra costs for package with a length more than 1200mm, 1800mm or 3000mm) then it will cause troubles in the basket if different types of products are added together because mix of items is excluding all the shipment methods. It would be great to be able to set different rules (for example a combination between weight and 'free shipment above 300 euros') and to have to option to SHOW shipping methods when a specific item from the product set is added (combined with the rule 'if more shipment methods are shown, show the cheapest / most expensive one' to prevent multiple or no shipment methods.

Control the maximum number of orderlines that can be added to the shopping cart

In sana there is no limit control for normal ordering. So the customers can add any number of items as they wish and then break the basket. This should be an admin setting when normal ordering is selected (or even kept in general so the admin can control the upper bound).

Items already in basket

The possibility to see the items that you've already placed in basket, when you're scrolling through item list pages. To prevend choosing the same item again multiple times.

Search Keyword in Quick Order

Currently the list of keywords for the quick order function is hardcoded. Would like the option when choosing the list of fields to be used as keywords, to also choose if the field should be used in the Quick Order search. - For example, Moto would like the Vendor Part No. to also be available in the Quick Order search as often dealers are ordering using the manufacturers catalogue / fitment guide.

Show item no. and discount on basket miniature

Standard SCC does not show the item No. and the item discount (line) on the basket miniature.

This should be a choice by the customer and not default hard set.

Order Discount - Max Redemptions Behavior

I would like for a Maximum Redemptions behavior option to be, "Maximum Redepmptions per ACCOUNT ID". Right now, multiple shop accounts with the same Account ID can each redeem the discount once, even if the Max. Redemptions is set to 1.

Suggestion for Applying Specific Delivery Fees to Product Groups

I would like to apply a 20-euro delivery fee to a specific product group. Currently, it is only possible to add estimated shipping costs to all products in the shopping cart, but it would be very useful to specify these costs per product group. This would be a significant improvement for our shipping options and customer satisfaction.

Make Description 2 from ERP Business Central visible in basket. Description 2 record from Business Central missing in systempage "basket" and "multistep checkout". (291338)

it possible for description 2 from Navsion Business Central to be displayed in the basket (SystemPage in SANA) under description 1?

Description 2 is a standard Navision Business Central field and available in all installations of the ERP.

We need this field because it contains additional information about the item weight. This information is missing in the shopping cart and this is a nightmare from a usability point of view.

Pay and back button above order detail on check out page

Please give the end user an option to review the duplicated back and pay buttons on the cart check out screen. Currently CSS code needs to be used to remove them support ticket 306988. Since they are duplicated on the screen, it would be nice to allow us to remove the buttons.

Shopping Cart merge on login

As a customer I sometimes forget to login before I begin building my shopping cart. When I login, if my user account has items in the shopping cart, I lose the items I added before login. Would it be possible to merge the two baskets in such cases, so I have both sets of items in the basket upon login?

Volume discount on total of items, not per item

It would be great if we can also create a volume discount on the total of items, instead of the total per item. In this way, we can let customers choose between certain products or create their own bundle of items within a productgroup or brand, and receive a discount if they purchase a total of 5 items for example.

Email template replacement tags

Add the replacement tag [SHOPACCOUNTEMAIL] to the OrderConfirmation email template. This would allow us to know who placed the order when the email is sent to the Account Executives.

Delivery Check based on postal code

It would be really useful if there was a delivery check on the product page. So if we have rules setup for Postal Codes for example, the customer could enter their post code on the product page and it will let them know if we can deliver to them or not.

Prepayment customer orders by sales agent

When sales agents place orders for customers who are CASH customers (prepayment customers), then Sana does not handle this properly at the moment.

Current behavior: Sales agent places the order on account (but customer has no account).

Expected behavior: Sales agent should be able to place the order with a payment pending status, and the customer should be notified to pay online to complete the order.

Checkout - Default Shipping Method

At checkout a number of different shipping methods are available, next day, pre-10 AM, Saturday delivery etc.

Currently a Webshop Customer has to choose each time which shipping method they would like, but majority of the time customers just want the lowest cost shipping method.

To save time at checkout for the Webshop Customer, by default the first shipping method should be selected.

Content element to promote automatic discounts

When implementing an automatic discount, customers may not be aware that they are eligible for the promotion. For instance, if a customer orders a specific amount of product X, they will receive a discount on their purchase. However, this benefit is only visible once the customer has met the required amount. In order to inform customers about this promotion, a content element should be included with a clear message such as: "Spend an additional €x for Y discount on your purchase."

Save EBizCharge transaction key in ERP instead of Sana transaction key

As a shop owner I want to save the EBizCharge transaction key in ERP instead of Sana transaction key, so I able to automatically capture funds based on transaction information being sent to the ERP for Sana webshop orders.

Set shipping fees by %

in Ordering and Shipping methods, we would like to set shipping fees as a percentage rather than a fixed amount

Add out of stock items to quote

As an e-commerce marketing and webstore manager it would be beneficial if Sana enabled our customers to self generate quotes that include products that are out of stock or special order.

As a webstore with over 2000+ products, some of our speciality items are only ordered in when a customer requires them. However the webstore's current functionality does not allow customers to add any out of stock items to their quotes. This means customers then have to call us and ask us to prepare a quote for them. Giving our customers the ability to generate their own quotes was one of the core reasons we implemented this website and the lack of this feature directly contradicts this purpose.

It is also important to note that due to long buying processes quotes may be prepared up to 6 months prior to a project requiring stock and so the ability to generate a quote in isolation from stock levels assists customers to plan ahead for lead times when specialised stock may need to be ordered.

Set minimum package weight and dimensions for FedEx shipments

FedEx add-on only considers item weight or dimensions when calculating shipping costs, ignoring the minimum weight and size of the packaging itself. This results in inaccurate, often lower shipping costs for lightweight items. To fix this, the add-on should allow setting a standard minimum package weight and/or dimensions.

Sales Price instead of Unit Price in the shopping cart.

If we have the "Show Sales Price, Unit Price, and Discount percentage" setting enabled, we put a focus on the Sales Price in the PDP. When the customer adds an item that has a discount to the Shopping Cart, calculation of totals is properly done, but the price displayed is the Unit Price, not the Sales Price, which is confusing for end customers. The calculateBasket brings as price in the Sales Line the Unit Price, and the GetPriceInfo brings as Price the Sales Price in the PDP. Since these are just for displaying and not for calculating, to avoid confusion the CalculateBasket should as well bring as Price the Sales Price.

Integration with Freightview

As a Sana customer I would love to see an integration with the third part application Freightview, https://www.freightview.com/

They allow you to connect your preferred freight providers and add a markup based on users. It's a pretty straight forward API that I assume would work similarly to the fed ex integration you already have. This would have multiple benefits like allowing Sana to integrate with all the freight providers Freightview supports and for us on the customer side to decide our own providers. just put in your api key and away you go.

Invisible checkout header fields

Due to specific requirements in the ERP, it might be needed to include a field with a specific value in the SaveOrder response. This should be made possible by configuring a checkout header field with a default value, and then making it invisible. This is already possible with registration fields

Purchase Order # Validation during Check Out

Do not allow a previous Purchase Order # (P.O #) to be entered during check out. Allowing duplicate P.O #'s causes issues when processing in our Business Central (BC) ERP system.

Customer specific minimum order value

Please consider making the minimum order value setting to be customer specific.

As a Sana admin I would like to add formatting and validations to the checkout fields.

Inquiry about Adding Time Slot Delivery Option in SANA

At the company, we are segmenting orders by time slots, allowing customers to choose a delivery time between XX and XX hours. Is it possible to add this feature in SANA?

Sorting on the basket

The current basket sorting needs to be improved and be flexible. Some requests from our customer Browning is logical.

1. Give a sort dropdown which default sorts by line created date.
2. Second option to sort by item no.
3. Future options, to sort by title, delivery date on line etc.

There should be a sort option for display and also some default sort for how the order is finally saved.

Add [QUOTENUMBER] Attribute to Order Confirmation Template

To show customers the original quotation number in their order confirmation, we request adding a [QUOTENUMBER] tag to the order confirmation template. Currently, only [ORDERNUMBER] is supported in both the quote and order confirmation emails, displaying only the Document ID. This limitation prevents us from showing the original quotation number on the order confirmation, which is essential for our customers’ internal administration and tracking.

Including the quotation number would help customers link orders to original quotes more easily, improving their administrative workflows. We believe this enhancement would be valuable to many Sana users.

Maximum spend limit for discounts

We would love to use the discounts more frequently however we would like a limit them to how much a percentage can be used on an maximum spend.
For example, 10% discount up to a maximum of £2000 on total basket.

Quick Search Bar

Once a user uses the Quick Order Search, the search bar does not clear once a user adds the item to cart. This is very frustrating for customers and they have to go back and clear it each time. Once a user adds the item t cart, the search bar should clear or have at least the "x" to clear the contents of the search bar.

Create quotes with large ordering

Quote creation is added as a limitation with large ordering. It is not always possible to compensate on quote creation when large ordering is used due to performance limitations when more than 100 orderlines are available on average.

Error Alerts and Notifications

As an IT support provider for a company using Sana, I would like to receive an email on any errors logged to the Sana Admin > System > Logs > Trace Log during Submit Order so that we can attempt to gather a network trace while a 502 Bad Gateway error is occurring to provide to Microsoft so that they can assist with troubleshooting. We receive emails for basket calculation and payment errors, but did not receive an email for submit order.

Populate location code on sales order header with selected pickup location code

As a B2B customer, I would like for Sana's standard functionality to populate the location code of the 'pickup location' (our store's location code) to populate as the Location Code on the Sales Order Header. Current Sana functionality populates using the Customer's location code from the Customer Card.

Order Conformation Emails - Product images

Item pictures to be shown with line items for order confirmations. Possibility to enable/disable this feature entirely depending on prevalence of item photos in a webstore.

Quote and Order URL Separation for GA4 Data Recording Issues

GA4 is incorrectly recording both actual purchases and quote requests as revenue due to shared confirmation page URLs.

Presentation of Extended Text

Currently, lines entered into the Extended Text field within an Item in Business Central are output into Sana as one, long paragraph. It does not 'present' very nicely, especially if you are wanting to present dot points as new lines etc.

I know this is possible by entering the description directly into Sana, however this somewhat defeats the purpose of managing as much of the original Item content in Business Central as possible, rather than needing to do it in Sana.

The ability for the Extended Text to output into Sana, exactly as it is input into Business Central, would be wonderful.

ShopAccountName field included in the SaveOrder request

The Shop Account name should be saved on the order so that it can be displayed in the order header in the web shop.
Especially useful for Sub-accounts where it must be clear who placed the order. Email helps, but name is preferred.

Especially needed because shop account management is not exposed to ADK so the above would be SDK customization.

Automatic calculation of shopping cart

Currently, the shopping cart is not automatically recalculated. If a customer decides to change the number of pieces, he must press the button himself to recalculate the cart. Can this be made automatic so that customers no longer have to press the button themselves.
